The spoon is a great solution to a problem, the mini crossbow is a good as well, making something similar that uses slingshot elastic is on my to do list.
I'm also working on some crossbows that use Thera-band black tubing. I've had problems with them shooting badly, so I'm going to try another type with the plywood bow as in the mini crossbow pistol I made, which is actually a marshmallow shooter made from Steve Ramsey's video on Youtube. I don't use marshmallows but made some tiny darts from bamboo with a small nail in the end and fletching made from tape.
